Every solar project in Mission moves through a clear sequence so you know what to expect and nothing gets missed on the electrical side.
We review your existing electrical panel, service capacity, and property layout to determine what upgrades or changes are needed before any solar equipment goes in.
Our electricians prepare a wiring plan that meets BC electrical code, accounts for your load requirements, and satisfies BC Hydro grid interconnection rules.
We complete all electrical work including panel modifications, conduit runs, inverter connections, and any metering equipment your utility requires.
The completed installation is inspected to BC Safety Authority standards. We walk you through the system before we leave so you understand how it operates.
Find clear answers about service options, scheduling, preparation, and what to expect before you request an estimate.
Q1
Many older panels in Mission do not have the capacity to support a solar system. We assess your current panel during the site visit and let you know upfront whether an upgrade is needed before work begins.
Q2
BB Electric pulls the required electrical permits through the BC Safety Authority. We manage that process so you are not chasing paperwork while coordinating with your solar panel supplier.
Q3
Yes. We wire battery storage systems to work with your solar installation and existing home electrical panel. Proper wiring is critical for safe operation, and we follow BC code for every connection.
Q4
Solar and EV charging pair well together. We can install or integrate a Level 2 EV charger into your solar project so both systems share the same upgraded electrical infrastructure efficiently.
Q5
The electrical work itself typically takes one to two days depending on your panel situation and system size. More complex setups with battery storage or panel upgrades may take a bit longer.
Q6
We are not tied to a specific panel brand. We work with your chosen supplier and focus on completing the electrical installation correctly regardless of which equipment you select.
Q7
Mission gets a reasonable amount of sunshine annually, and solar systems produce energy even on overcast days. A properly sized system can meaningfully offset your BC Hydro consumption throughout the year.
Q8
We offer ongoing electrical troubleshooting for systems we install. If something on the electrical side is not performing correctly, call us and we will diagnose and address the problem.
